ISO 37001 is an anti-corruption management system established in October 2016 by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in which 162 countries participate. It is an international standard certification system in which the third-party certification is possible for organizations to establish, implement, maintain and improve an anti-corruption management system.
CJ HealthCare confirmed the introduction of ISO 37001 through approval of the board of directors in October of last year, and announced the introduction of ISO 37001 at the ceremony to celebrate Compliance Day in March this year.
In June, anti-corruption manuals, procedures, and anti-corruption policies were enacted and posted on the company's intranet and homepage to spread the culture of compliance with internal and external fair trade and emphasized the mindset of employees to prevent corruption.
Kang Seok-hee, CEO of CJ Health Care, said, “We always emphasize the concept of anti-corruption so that it can be clearly recognized and practiced. We need to keep in mind that environmental changes require rapid stimulation and response.” He also said, “We will become a company more trusted by internal and external stakeholders and solidify sustainable growth.”
Meanwhile, ISO 37001 goes through the organization's anti-corruption policies, procedures, controls, top management leadership, high-level supervision, anti-corruption training, risk identification, analysis and evaluation, due diligence, internal review and management review, corrective actions, and continuous improvement steps. Then, it grants authentication.
