HK inno.N launches 'Derma Cosmetics' following a new drug and hangover drink
- HK inno.N's pharma business know-how and Kolmar Korea's diverse cosmetic technology synergy achievement
- Following Dermatology cosmetics, with functional hair products in the second half of the year, expanded to general consumer channels such as home shopping
HK inno.N (formerly CJ HealthCare), which holds Korea's No. 30 new drug K-CAB and hangover drink ‘CONDITION’, is newly entering the derma cosmetics market. It is the 1st new business introduced by HK inno.N, which has been acquired by Kolmar Korea over two years ago, a global professional cosmetics R&D manufacturing company. HK inno.N is strengthening its foundation as a comprehensive healthcare company by expanding its business areas from pharmaceuticals, health drinks and functional foods to derma cosmetics.
HK inno.N's derma cosmetic brand name is 'Klederma', and it enters the dermatology department with a total of two types: Klederma RX soothing lotion and soothing cream. These products have been developed for the purpose of assisting with dermatology treatment to help quick skin soothing and hydration. Both products have patented 'Derma Incellogy' technology, which specializes in improving skin barrier function and moisturizing with a combination of ingredients similar to actual skin composition.
HK inno.N creates a separate organization dedicated to derma cosmetic product planning, sales, and marketing, and focuses on dermatology of general hospitals and new practitioners with dermatology-only cosmetics. In the second half of the year, high-functional hair loss management products will also target general consumers through home shopping.
The product was jointly developed by HK inno.N and Kolmar Korea, and Kolmar Korea was in charge of manufacturing. Kolmar Korea, HK inno.N's parent company, is an expert of global cosmetics and health functional food R&D company, and provides comprehensive solutions from product planning to production. The two companies will continue to show derma cosmetic products that combine pharmaceutical and cosmetic technologies.
The derma cosmetic market, to which HK inno.N will advance, is expected to grow by an average of 15% per annum to reach 1.2 trillion won this year. Derma Cosmetics is a compound word of dermatology, which means skin science, and cosmetics. The name means a hypoallergenic product that manages sensitive skin.
An official from HK inno.N said, "This entry into the derma cosmetic business is the result of maximizing the business capability proven in the pharmaceutical market such as Korea's No. 30 new drug K-CAB tab., and product development and manufacturing infrastructure of Kolmar Korea." He also said, “The derma business will quickly settle in the national dermatology market throughout the year, and will be as an emerging leader in the K-derma and K-Beauty markets.”
Klederma RX soothing lotion and soothing cream from HK inno.N can be purchased at major dermatology hospitals and clinics nationwide.
